I commenced my career in the construction of steel bridges before establishing my own engineering business. During this time, I successfully invented, patented, and manufactured New Zealand’s first tractor-mounted hydraulic post driver. This innovation led to the expansion of my work into a diverse range of steel construction projects. Over more than 50 years of experience working with steel, I have developed a strong appreciation for its versatility and form. This has evolved into a particular interest in creating contemporary steel sculptures that complement New Zealand’s natural landscapes. Each piece is individually designed and handcrafted, resulting in unique, three-dimensional artworks fabricated from Coreten steel plate.
